Bronson Reed: "For The Time Being I Am Still In WWE NXT"

The Colossal One remains an NXT Superstar

Bronson Reed looked to be destined for an imminent main roster call-up earlier this year, but The Colossal One has thus far remained on WWE NXT.

Following Reed's North American Championship win, it emerged that Vince McMahon was looking to refresh the Raw and SmackDown rosters with NXT talent and Bronson competed in a SmackDown dark match and on Main Event in June. The 32-year-old would then drop the North American Title to Isaiah "Swerve" Scott and many expected him to arrive on the main roster soon after. Reed has continued to wrestle in NXT, though, and is currently feuding with Adam Cole.

Reed has now commented on his current WWE status during a chat with Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture.

"For the time being I am still in NXT and I love being in NXT," Reed said. "And when I lost that belt I knew straight away that everyone on Twitter and Instagram; I knew that was gonna be what everyone thought because I am like 'okay that makes sense that's what people think.'

"But it is something that I look forward to doing. I look forward to doing more with NXT but at the same time, as a kid growing up as such a big fan, I wanna be on Royal Rumble, I wanna be on SummerSlam, I wanna have my WrestleMania moment. So to be able to do that you have to be on a Raw or SmackDown."

The Auszilla does appear to be set to move to the main roster at some point in the future, but as Reed said, he will remain an NXT Superstar for now.
