Karrion Kross and Bronson Reed's days on NXT are numbered.

WWE officials have been looking at the two NXT Superstars over the past week, with Kross facing Dolph Ziggler and Reed facing Robert Roode in dark matches ahead of the June 18 SmackDown.

The two NXT champions then made their main roster debuts on Main Event. Kross defeated Shelton Benjamin, while Reed vanquished Drew Gulak on the show.

Following the matches, Kross and Reed are now both on the list to be called up to the main roster, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

When they will make their way to either Raw or SmackDown remains to be seen, but the WWE Draft is currently scheduled for August 30 and September 3 and the event has been used to bring up NXT Superstars in the past.

WWE reportedly scheduled the main roster matches for Kross and Reed because they wanted creative to see what the two champions can bring to the table, so writers could start coming up with ideas for their debuts.

There is no word on if Scarlett will be by the NXT Champion's side when he debuts. Kross headed to the ring on Main Event without his manager and Scarlett is being considered for her own try-out, possibly ahead of tonight's SmackDown.
