Bryan Danielson To Return Before The End Of 2023

Bryan Danielson should make AEW return before end of 2023

Bryan Danielson is once again on the shelf, with the legendary ‘American Dragon’ having suffered a broken orbital bone during a match with Andrade el Idolo on October 21.

Danielson would go on to compete with the injury, wrestling on the October 25 AEW Dynamite, before being taken off the road. Danielson underwent surgery on the injury earlier this week, and AEW commentator Tony Schiavone gave an update on the Blackpool Combat Club member during a recent AEW Control Center video:

"He's undergone surgery. He’ll be out until later in the year," revealed Schiavone.

The injury comes under two months after Danielson made his in-ring return against Ricky Starks in a gruelling Strap Match at All Out on September 3, with Danielson having been on the shelf with a broken arm since Forbidden Door in June 2023.

Danielson recently revealed that he has one eye set on retirement, with Danielson promising his young daughter he’d stop wrestling full-time by her seventh birthday next year.
