Nick Hogan - the son of Hulk Hogan - has sued Bubba The Love Sponge over an upcoming documentary about The Hulkster's sex tape.
TMZ has reported that Nick, representing Hogan's estate, filed the lawsuit on Tuesday, September 2 in a federal court in Florida, alleging the 'Video Killed The Radio Star: The Untold Story Of The Hulk Hogan Sex Tape Scandal' documentary to be released later this month infringes on Hulk's copyrights and trademarks.
Within the lawsuit, it is alleged the documentary includes unauthorised images from Hogan's sex tape and that some of the images were featured in the trailer for the upcoming documentary. Nick also claims that Bubba The Love Sponge has been using Hulk Hogan's trademarks without permission while promoting the documentary.
It is also claimed that releasing the documentary would violate a settlement agreement between Hulk Hogan and Bubba The Love Sponge from 2012. Nick Hogan is seeking unspecified damages and to prevent the documentary from being released.
Video Killed The Radio Star: The Untold Story Of The Hulk Hogan Sex Tape Scandal promises to reveal the true story around how Hogan's secretly recorded sex tape was leaked.
Hulk Hogan's sex tape featured him with Bubba The Love Sponge's then-wife Heather Clem. Gawker released footage from the sex tape in 2012, which led to Hogan's lawsuit against the outlet. Hogan was awarded $140 million and Gawker closed in August 2016 as a result of the lawsuit.
Additional footage from the sex tape released in 2015 revealed Hogan using the N word to describe his daughter Brooke's then-boyfriend. The racist language resulted in WWE severing ties with Hogan and removing him from the WWE Hall of Fame from July 2015 until 2018.
