Buff Bagwell Set To Undergo Surgery

Buff Bagwell needs a procedure done before he can get back in the ring

Former WCW star Buff Bagwell is continuing down the path of sobriety in an attempt to turn his life around.

Bagwell's struggles with substance abuse have been well documented, but 'The Stuff' seems to be making positive progress following a recent spell in rehab.

"I'm six months clean, and I think it's 200 and something-odd days. The main thing to remember is my sobriety date. My sobriety date is August 27th. So, that's how I keep up with it," the 53-year-old told the Going Broadway podcast.

Bagwell also revealed that he plans to step back into the ring this year, but must go under the knife first, saying:

"I've got a knee replacement I'm getting scheduled to get done within the month. There's a light, a big bright light now at the end of the tunnel when there wasn't any. So I'm very excited about life. I'm sober and clean, which I really didn't think I could do this thing called life sober and clean. I really didn't"

Bagwell claimed the knee issue is the result of a 2020 car accident. He last wrestled on an independent show in October 2022.
