Cain Velasquez: It's An Honour To Return To AAA

He returned to the promotion at TripleMania Regia

Cain Velasquez stepped inside a AAA ring for the first time in over two years on December 4, teaming with Psycho Clown and Pagano against LA Park, Rey Escorpion and Black Taurus in a Six-Man Tag Team Match.

Cardio Cain's team would ultimately pick up the win and the former UFC World Heavyweight Champion admitted to Lucha Libre Online that it was an honour to return to AAA.

"For me, it's an honour to return back home with AAA and all of the wrestlers. Everyone that works here is great, and I am happy to get the opportunity to work here again. Once again, it's a dream being here!" Velasquez said.

When Cain Velasquez will next wrestle for AAA following TripleMania Regia remains to be seen.

Velasquez made his professional wrestling debut with AAA back in August 2019 when he teamed with Psycho Clown and Cody Rhodes to defeat Black Taurus, El Texano Jr. and Killer Kross. He then wrestled one more time for the promotion before debuting in WWE in October 2019.

Velasquez only performed for WWE twice, though, before being released in April 2020 as part of budget cuts following the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
