Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay Announce Return To Wrestling As 'The IInspiration'

Former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay have announced their return to professional wrestling.

The former IIconics have been out of action since they were released by WWE in April 2021. Their 90-day non-compete clauses expired sometime in July and now Lee and McKay have revealed they will be returning to wrestling soon as 'The IInspiration.'

Lee and McKay tweeted: "Finally, IInspiration returns to professional wrestling. Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay present The IInspiration Tour Dates and cities to be announced soon."

Where exactly The IInspiration will be performing is set to be revealed at a later date. The tag team reportedly drew interest from IMPACT Wrestling but a deal was considered unlikely as of August 20. A new wrestling promotion, believed to be NGW, was also said to be interested in the duo. 

McKay and Lee previously teamed together for several years in WWE before they split up in August 2020. They initially went their separate ways on WWE TV before their releases, but they have since announced they are a package deal for future bookings.
