Former WWE star Cedric Alexander is weighing up his future after his nine-year run with the company came to an end with his February release.

Despite having three months of bookings lined up and knowing he'll be able to make a living on the indies, Alexander is hoping to end up in AEW.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet for Insight, Alexander noted that he has his eyes set on a reunion with The Hurt Syndicate's Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin and MVP, saying:

"100 percent. That's a big chapter of my career that I really felt was never fully explored. And I think it'll be great to finish that out". Shortly after Cedric was released, it was reported that The Hurt Syndicate were expected to push for him to become All Elite.

Describing how he felt when he got the news of his release, Alexander said:

"Once I got that news, I wasn't even mad. It kind of felt like a pressure was lifted off my shoulders. Oh wow, I'm free to do other things, cool, all right, let's see what happens". The former Cruiserweight Champion has announced bookings for independent promotions in May and June.
