Chad Gable's Friends Want Him To Leave WWE For AEW
Could AEW be ready willing and Gable to sign the former Olympian?
Chad Gable has been severely misused during his time on WWE’s main roster, and allegedly friends of the former American Alpha stand out want him to join AEW.
The report comes from Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, who said the following when discussing Gable and the WWE Draft:
“Chad’s always awesome. He’s always awesome. A lot of people – I know a lot of his friends want him to go to AEW and I don’t know what the contract situation is for him but he’s been so misused or buried or whatever that it’s almost like you bring him – but I think he would be absolutely phenomenal in AEW. He’s phenomenal now.”
A former Olympic amateur wrestler, Gable has been compared to the likes of Kurt Angle, but aside from his work with Jason Jordan as American Alpha, has been lumbered with terrible WWE gimmicks like Shorty G and working as Robert Roode’s lackey, but is now doing better work with Otis as The Alpha Academy.
