Championship Match Added To AEW Revolution 2024

A title match has been officially added to AEW Revolution 2024

The rivalry between Eddie Kingston and Bryan Danielson has been heating up in recent weeks, especially after their interactions in the AEW Continental Classic at the back end of 2023. Kingston managed to defeat Danielson in the Continental Classic on his way to the Worlds End PPV where he outlasted Jon Moxley to become the new AEW Continental Crown Champion, and in turn the Triple Crown Champion (already holding the ROH World Championship & NJPW Strong Championship).

Danielson didn’t take his defeat too kindly, and since then Kingston has had to contend with the Blackpool Combat Club showcasing him a large amount of disrespect, which has intensified as the weeks have continued.

On last night’s episode of AEW Collision, Kingston issued out the challenge himself for the Revolution PPV against Bryan Danielson, putting his title on the line. The one condition of the match is that Danielson must show him the respect of shaking his hand if he defeats him. Tony Khan made the match official in a post on X

The current Revolution 2024 card is now as follows:

  • Samoa Joe (c) vs. Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland - AEW World Championship
  • Toni Storm (c) vs. Deonna Purrazzo - AEW Women’s World Championship
  • Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Roderick Strong - AEW International Championship
  • Eddie Kingston (c) vs. Bryan Danielson - AEW Continental Crown Championship
  • Sting’s Retirement Match
