Charlie Haas Recalls Pinning Hulk Hogan In 2003 On WWE SmackDown

A rare loss for Hogan

While Hulk Hogan developed a reputation for being unwilling to put over others during his long career, The Immortal One was once pinned by Charlie Haas while he was working as Mr. America.

Haas pinned Hogan during the WWE Hall Of Famer's 2003 run with the company and the former Team Angle man pinned Hulk inside Madison Square Garden to win a six-man tag team match for himself, Shelton Benjamin and The Big Show against The Hulkster, Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar.

Haas was the latest guest on The Kurt Angle Show and the former WWE Tag Team Champion recalled Hogan telling him to make the cover before he changed his mind.

"It was in Madison Square Garden, and it was unbelievable. It was the Madison Square Garden, and we were wrestling; you were wrestling and what was great was the build-up to that. The three matches we had, three weeks prior to that. And I'm like, Hulk Hogan, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, and also Big Show. I mean, they have us beat Hogan at Madison Square Garden. I'm like, awesome. I remember Hogan going, he goes, 'Hurry up, little brother. Pin me before I change my mind,'" Haas said.

"Hogan, bro, he beat the Sheik, the eye of the tiger, and dude, we're beating him. It's like, man; you couldn't write that man. It's like the time I was wrestling Ric Flair at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. I mean, you just can't write that, man. Everyone I grew up watching, I was able to do. If it wasn't for Iron Sheik letting Hogan beat him, yeah, we wouldn't be where we are."

After being pinned by Haas, Hogan would only lose one more match in his career, eight years later to Sting at TNA Bound For Glory 2011.
