Charlotte Flair Expected To Be Out Of Action For Months Following Serious Injury

Charlotte Flair gone from the ring

Charlotte Flair is not expected to be back on WWE TV for some time.

Flair faced Asuka on the December 8 edition of Friday Night SmackDown but Charlotte sustained a knee injury after slipping from the top rope during a commercial break, hitting her head as well. Flair favoured her knee when the broadcast returned and the match quickly went to the finish, with Asuka securing the victory following interference from Bayley.

After it emerged that WWE were "extremely concerned" that Flair's knee injury could be serious, the company's worst fears appear to have been confirmed. According to FightFans, they have been told Flair will be on the shelf for "months."

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that Flair has returned home and she has been pulled from the road until an official confirmation on the nature of her injury is complete.

Flair has been back on WWE TV since June of 2023, primarily involved in the WWE Women's Title picture. She was on the winning side at WarGames alongside Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and Shotzi against Damage CTRL.
