Sami Zayn Written Off WWE TV

Sami Zayn gone from WWE TV

Sami Zayn won't be appearing on WWE TV in the near future.

Zayn went one-on-one with Drew McIntyre on the December 4 edition of Monday Night Raw, ultimately losing to the two-time WWE Champion. McIntyre targeted Zayn's leg throughout the match and McIntyre would then stomp on Zayn's leg again during a post-match backstage attack, with the segment coming to an end as WWE medical personnel rushed to assist the former Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champion.

Zayn has since been written off WWE TV, with Jey Uso telling Zayn to get well soon on the December 11 episode of Raw before Drew McIntyre noted he left Zayn with one working leg. Michael Cole later announced that Zayn was on the shelf with a partially torn meniscus and it is unknown when he will return to TV.

Sami Zayn has been one of WWE's most popular talents throughout 2023. He has been written out of programming following his request for time off. Zayn is not expected to return before the end of the year as he is not currently scheduled for the WWE house show in Laval, Quebec, Canada on December 28. House shows in Quebec are typically built around Zayn and Kevin Owens as headline attractions due to it being their home province.
