Former WWE Women's United States Champion Chelsea Green has opened up about being left off the WrestleMania 41 card.

Despite reigning as champ at the time (and despite the show being a two-night affair), there was no room for Green on either Saturday or Sunday.

Speaking to Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely, Green admitted her disappointment at being looked over, saying:

"I mean, at the end of the day, of course, after a crazy year, the pinnacle is WrestleMania. So I felt the want and the need for these titles to be on the show. I wanted them to be on the show. But at the end of the day, we only have so many hours and so many spots on the card. And I think that the women that were on the show did an amazing job of representing all of us. So, although I'm upset and I wish I could have been on it, I'm really proud of the girls".

Though she ultimately didn't make it to 'Mania, there were reportedly pitches to have Green compete in a Women's United States Title open challenge at the Showcase of the Immortals, with Alexa Bliss and Nikki Bella mooted as prospective opponents.

Chelsea instead dropped the title to Zelina Vega on the post-WrestleMania edition of SmackDown.
