Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville Win WWE Women's Tag Team Championships

Sonya Deville & Chelsea Green are the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions

Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville are your new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions after a shock win over former champions Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on the July 17 edition of WWE Raw.

Deville got the win for the team with a knee strike to Morgan, moments after Liv ate an Unprettier from Green. With the win, Green and Deville become the fifth different team to hold the belts in 2023, ending Morgan and Rodriguez’ second run with the titles after just 16 days.

The win also sees Green and Deville holding championship gold for the first time in their respective WWE careers, although they’ll be hoping to have better luck with the titles than many who came before them, with the belts often hot potatoed around the women’s division.

The team of Green and Deville have been tagging together since February, shortly after Green made her WWE surprise return in the women’s Royal Rumble match in January.

So far in 2023 alone Damage CTRL, Becky Lynch and Lita, Rodriguez and Morgan, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, and now Green and Deville have all held the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
