Chelsea Green wins her first singles title in WWE
Dec 15, 2024
Two former TNA Knockouts World Champions faced off at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event as Chelsea Green went one-on-one with Michin in the final of the Women’s United States Title tournament.
It was ultimately Chelsea Green who walked away with the title, picking up the win over Michin after flipping over her opponent from the top rope and hitting an Unprettier moments after the former Mia Yim dropped an interfering Piper Niven to the floor.
The Women’s United States Championship is the first singles title Chelsea Green has won across her two runs with WWE. She is a one-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, having held the belts for 155 days with Sonya Deville and then Piper Niven in 2023.
Green first performed for the company from 2018 until her release in 2020. After runs in Ring of Honor and a second run in TNA, Green returned to WWE at Royal Rumble 2023.
Her win at Saturday Night’s Main Event is the culmination of Green’s rise within WWE which has seen her popularity gradually grow since she returned at last year’s Royal Rumble. Green was tipped by many to win the 2024 Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match that was ultimately won by Tiffany Stratton.
