Chelsea Green Returns To Impact Wrestling At Slammiversary

With some shades of "Hot Mess" Van Ness

Chelsea Green returned to Impact Wrestling during Saturday night's Slammiversary pay-per-view in Nashville.

Green returned as the mystery partner of her real-life fiancée Matt Cardona, in a mixed tag team match against Brian Myers and Tenille Dashwood. Green scored the pin for her team, pinning Dashwood with an Unprettier.

Green previously wrestled for Impact between 2016 and 2018, under the name Laurel Van Ness. She reigned for two months as Knockouts champion in 2017-18.

During her time in the role, Green portrayed an increasingly-unhinged jilted lover, after being stood up by Braxton Sutter (AEW's Blade), who left her at the altar for Allie (AEW's Bunny, his real-life wife). Following the angle, an unbalanced Van Ness continued wearing the wedding dress, along with a smeared lipstick and make-up scheme, while also toting a wine bottle.

Her attire on Saturday called back to that character, reflecting something of a "split personality".

Green signed with WWE in August of 2018, and primarily appeared for NXT during her time there. She was released this past April 15.

Green also debuted for Ring of Honor over the past week, announced as a participant in the Women's World title tournament.
