Chris Jericho Has Street Named After Him

Chris Jericho has had the honour of having a street named after him

As Chris Jericho once told a fan at a WWE show, he’s “from Winnipeg, you idiot”, and the multi-time world champion has been honoured by his hometown with the unveiling of Chris Jericho Way before All Elite Wrestling’s Winnipeg debut on March 15.

Winnipeg Mayor Scott Gillingham renamed Jericho’s childhood street in a ceremony on March 15, saying the following about the honour:

"In recognition of Chris's accomplishments and for his consistent, constant, years of efforts of being a great ambassador for the City of Winnipeg, the Wordsworth Way between Browning Boulevard and Westwood Drive will receive an honorary street naming as Chris Jericho Way."

Jericho also commented on the honour, saying: "It means a lot to me, it's a huge honour. My mom and my grandma both have passed away, but this is something that would make me legit to both of them. Holy smokes, we named Wordsworth Way after Chris Jericho."

Jericho also received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal during his trip home, and is a previous recipient of the key to the city.
