Chris Jericho: "I Honestly Feel That I Am The Best In The World In The Pro Wrestling Biz"

Le Champion has la confiance...

Eight years ago, Chris Jericho fought tooth and nail with then-WWE champion CM Punk for the right to call themselves "The Best in the World". Years before, Jericho rasped in a low register that he was "...the best in the world" at what he does.

Today at age 49, as the top villain of AEW, and its first World champion, Jericho believes he's exactly that.

Tweeting late last night, the 30-year veteran wrote, "Not being egotistical or arrogant, but right here and right now, for the first time since 2010, I honestly feel that I AM the best in the world in the pro wrestling biz. Not gonna discuss or debate. It’s just the way I feel..."

Since taking bookings away from WWE more than two years ago, Jericho has worked top-of-the-card bouts for both AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling, holding gold in each promotion. He seems to reinvent himself at every turn, in recent years as the paint-adorned "Painmaker" or the endlessly-braggadocios leader of the Inner Circle.

What do you think? Does Jericho have a case?
