Chris Jericho Reacts To AEW Dynamite Beating WWE SmackDown In The Ratings

Chris Jericho reacts to an AEW Dynamite ratings win over WWE SmackDown

Chris Jericho has reacted to the news that AEW Dynamite outdrew WWE SmackDown last week.

AEW Dynamite on TBS in the United States averaged 845,000 viewers and a 0.26 rating in the key 18-49 demographic on Wednesday, November 22, which was also the post-Full Gear edition of AEW's flagship show. The go-home edition of WWE SmackDown before Survivor Series, meanwhile, aired on FS1 on Friday, November 24. The change in channel from FOX resulted in SmackDown averaging 789,000 viewers and a 0.24 rating.

Chris Jericho couldn't help but react to the minor ratings victory for AEW even though the two shows don't air on the same night as the former WWE and AEW world champion tweeted: "But I thought the sky was falling!!?? @aew."

Chris Jericho didn't directly point to what he was referencing but AEW has been the subject of plenty of criticism in recent months with many suggesting the company's TV product is cold, especially when compared to WWE. The quality of AEW's TV programming has also been criticised in recent months.
