Chris Jericho Thinks An AEW Vs. NJPW Supershow Will Happen

Will it take place?

Amidst speculation over what Tony Khan's massive announcement could be, Chris Jericho has admitted he thinks an AEW vs. NJPW supershow will take place at some point in the future.

"As soon as Japan opens up a little bit more, I can see a huge New Japan vs. AEW Supershow," Jericho said on FITE In Focus

Le Champion also reflected on where he would like to see All Elite Wrestling perform and he mentioned the likes of Canada, Mexico City, Manchester, Dublin and Belfast.

NJPW previously held a supershow with Ring Of Honor in 2019 - the G1 Supercard over WrestleMania 35 weekend. The Japanese promotion has struck up working relationships with AEW and IMPACT Wrestling since then and while they have exchanged talent, there has yet to be a joint event.

NJPW reportedly talked internally about doing a joint show with AEW earlier this year, though.

Several AEW stars have a history in NJPW and the likes of The Young Bucks, Adam Cole, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, Lance Archer and Hangman Page have all performed in Japan.
