Chris Jericho Vs. MJF Official For 8/18 AEW Dynamite
The final labor of Jericho
Chris Jericho gets his desired rematch with MJF, but it comes with a stipulation.
Jericho defeated Wardlow in the "Fourth Labor of Jericho" on Wednesday night's Dynamite, overcoming a sustained beating, before putting Wardlow away with the use of his baseball bat "Floyd", followed by a Judas Effect.
MJF then decreed that for the final Labor in which he himself will face Jericho, that Jericho cannot use his Judas Effect. In the prior four labors, Jericho defeated Shawn Spears, Nick Gage, Juventud Guerrera, and Wardlow with the move.
In their only previous singles encounter, MJF defeated Jericho at last year's Full Gear. That victory earned both he and Wardlow membership into the Inner Circle.
The current card for next week's AEW Dynamite, taking place at the Fertitta Center in Houston, is as follows:
* Chris Jericho vs. MJF (Jericho cannot use the Judas Effect)
* AEW World Tag Team: The Young Bucks (c) vs. Jurassic Express
* Tornado Rules: Sting and Darby Allin vs. 2.0
* Sammy Guevara vs. Shawn Spears (Guevara also has an announcement to make)
