Chris Jericho Vs. Ricky Starks Set For AEW Dynamite

Two of All Elite Wrestling's stars will go one-on-one next week.

The promotion have announced that Chris Jericho and Ricky Starks will face each other for the first time ever on the January 4 edition of AEW Dynamite. The show is set to emanate from the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.

The programme between Starks and Jericho kicked off last week after The Ocho interrupted a Starks promo and invited him to join the Jericho Appreciation Society. Starks quickly turned down the offer, though, and challenged Jericho to a match instead. The former AEW World Champion did not respond but the match has since been made official.

The January 4 episode of Dynamite is set to be a major show for AEW and will feature a new look for the TV show. AEW have retained the same look since Dynamite premiered in October 2019.

The match between Starks and Jericho comes after both were involved in major matches in December. Starks unsuccessfully challenged MJF for the AEW World Championship at Winter is Coming, while Jericho dropped the ROH World Title to Claudio Castagnoli at Final Battle.
