Chris Masters Wants To Bring Evolved Character To WWE, AEW, Or TNA

Masters wants an opportunity on a bigger stage.

Chris Masters would like the opportunity to be seen on a bigger stage.

In a post on his Instagram account, Masters (who also wrestles as Chris Adonis) shared a clip in which he expressed a desire to wrestle for one of the major American companies.

"…Kind of see what’s out there for me. I have had, the last couple of years I’ve been in NWA trying to develop myself and kind of evolve my character in every way I possibly could. Now I'd like to bring that to, whether it be AEW, IMPACT Wrestling, or of course WWE," he said.

Masters last wrestled for NWA at their Samhain pay-per-view on October 28.

The 41-year-old had two previous spells in WWE, between 2005 and 2007 and then between 2009 and 2011. Though he never won a title in WWE, he did receive a strong push initially and was involved in major matches and storylines.

Masters also worked for TNA/IMPACT Wrestling in 2015 and 2017.

Several months ago, Masters noted that he would like to make a WWE return in the Royal Rumble match and have a showdown with Bobby Lashley. The two men share the full nelson finisher, which they call the Masterlock and the Hurt Lock respectively.
