Giulia Expected To Join NXT Following WWE Signing

Latest on Giulia to WWE

An update on Giulia's WWE future after she signs with the company has emerged.

WWE have a long-standing interest in the NJPW STRONG Women's Champion and Giulia's time with STARDOM looked to be coming to an end as she recently announced the end of her Donna Del Mondo stable. Her contract with the promotion is set to expire in March and Giulia has reportedly told STARDOM she will not be signing a new deal with the promotion, with the belief being she will take some time off to "extensively" study English before joining WWE later in 2024

Fightful Select has since confirmed that Giulia has told STARDOM she won't be signing a contract extension and WWE sources indicated that Giulia was viewed as a "potential priority acquisition." The expectation within WWE is that Giulia would be assigned to NXT unless she was prepped for the main roster ahead of time. WWE sources also indicated they would be able to assist Giulia with working on her English, while one person within WWE joked that "Giulia's English is better than the comprehension we've seen out of many native speakers."

Some wondered if All Elite Wrestling would be interested in signing Giulia, especially as Tony Khan noted the promotion would be active in the women's free agent market in 2024, with Deonna Purrazzo having already been signed and Mercedes Moné expected to be coming in. Fightful Select noted they haven't heard of Giulia being mentioned as a talent expected to join Tony Khan's promotion, however.
