WWE To Sign Giulia
Giulia looking set to sign with WWE
After much speculation, it seems as though Giulia is set to sign with WWE.
The STARDOM stand out has long been on WWE’s radar, with reports in late 2023 stating that the current NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion was set to jump ship in 2024.
Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Giulia’s appearance at the STARDOM Ittenyon Stardom Gate show on January 4 in Tokyo Dome City Hall - where Giulia announced the end of her stable Donna Del Mondo - was done ahead of her contract expiring in March.
STARDOM owner Bushiroad have been told by Giulia that she will not be signing a new contract upon the expiration of her current deal, with it believed that Giulia will take some time off in order to ‘extensively’ study English ahead of a move to WWE later in 2024.
Meltzer noted that ahead of any move to WWE, it’s not out of the question that Giulia may still wrestle in Japan this year before relocating to the United States. Giulia and WWE are believed to have spoken ‘several times’ towards the end of 2023 about a potential switch.
