CM Punk Backstage At IMPACT Tapings

CM Punk is showing up anywhere he wants these days. Less than a week after shockingly turning up backstage at WWE Monday Night Raw, Punk has appeared backstage at another wrestling promotion - this time at IMPACT's Wrestling’s Spring Slugfest tapings. 

After first being spotted by fans outside the venue, pictures of Punk posing with Impact talent backstage emerged. Fightful Select confirmed the talk doing the rounds and shed some light on how he got there; 

“After showing up at NJPW to watch Mercedes Mone recently, Punk also showed up at WWE Raw backstage this week. Today, he's at IMPACT Wrestling visiting.

"We're told Punk was welcomed there and brought through by security, even by numerous fans. Those we spoke to said he's backstage mingling with talent, posing for pictures and in a good mood.”

There was also talk of Punk getting invited by the likes of Mone and Trinity, who have been at IMPACT tapings over the last few days. Punk’s AEW return is reportedly very close to happening amidst the emergence of a brand-new show, with many speculating that Punk’s public appearances are a way to drum up some interest in a return to the company.
