Following a feud which has been bubbling for nearly two decades, CM Punk finally managed to overcome Samoa Joe and defeat the ROH World Television Champion for the very first time. Reversing a Coquina Clutch attempt into a pinfall, Punk finally defeated his old ROH rival, earning his spot in next week’s Owen Hart Tournament finals.

It wasn’t all joy for Punk though, as after the bell Joe suckered him into a handshake, only to choke him out to end the show. Punk will have to keep one eye behind his back next week, with a big match against “Absolute” Ricky Starks set to take place, as Starks defeated his former Team Taz ally Powerhouse Hobbs in the other semi final match, advancing to the finals too.

Next week’s show episode of AEW Collision will feature both the men’s and women’s finals, though the two finalists on the women’s side have yet to be decided. Ruby Soho and Skye Blue will clash in one semi final, whereas Willow Nightingale and Athena will meet in the other.
