Willow Nightingale Injured, Match Taken Off AEW Collision

Willow Nightingale was forced to sit out of AEW Collision

On last night’s episode of AEW Collision, Willow Nightingale was set to go head-to-head with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena in the semi finals of the women’s Owen Hart Tournament. These two former ROH foes will have to wait for a little while longer though to do battle, as announced by Tony Khan on Twitter shortly before Rampage.

Khan explained that Willow had picked up an injury which would leave her unable to compete on Collision, therefore their match would be postponed until next week’s edition of AEW Rampage in order to give Willow time to recover. During a backstage interview on Collision, Athena mocked Willow for losing her NJPW Strong Women’s Championship to Giulia earlier this week, which is where it seems as though Willow picked up her injury.

If this match does indeed take place, the winner will go on to Collision next week to face the winner of Ruby Soho and Skye Blue, who meet on Dynamite next week in the other semi final bout.
