CM Punk Comments On Vince McMahon Allegations

Ariel Helwani recently asked CM Punk about the Vince McMahon allegations.

In his recent appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, CM Punk gave his thoughts on the allegations made against Vince McMahon.

It was reported in February that federal authorities in the United States are investigating sex trafficking and sexual assault allegations made against McMahon. The 78-year-old resigned as TKO Executive Chairman in January 2024 after former WWE employee Janel Grant accused McMahon of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse. WWE and John Laurinaitis were also named as defendants in the lawsuit.

Punk was asked about the situation by Helwani, and replied:

"There is no positivity there. I didn’t read all the allegations. I read text messages. I went, ‘Oh, f*** this.’ It’s indefensible. [...] My initial, first thing out of my mouth was, ‘I’m kind of shocked at how dumb he was writing stuff down and leaving that paper trail.’ It’s horrific.

"At this point, all the energy should be used to - I don’t know if you can - but make reparations or amends. There are victims here. What CM Punk thinks about Vince and the CM Punk/Vince relationship doesn’t f***ing mean anything. All that stuff takes a backseat. I’m more concerned about going forward, how do those people survive after suffering all of that trauma? That’s my biggest concern."

Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, just a few months after being fired from AEW following a reported backstage altercation with Jack Perry at the All In pay-per-view at Wembley Stadium.
