CM Punk Comments On ‘WWE Backstage’ Host Rumours
A new host for the new show?!
There are rumours going around at the moment suggesting CM Punk is in-line to be a host on the new FS1 show, WWE Backstage.
The five-time WWE World Champion was rumoured to have undergone screentests recently with the aim of becoming a host on Backstage.
At the time of writing, Renee Young and Booker T are the only confirmed hosts of the hour-long show.
Punk was a guest on 106.7 KROQ FM earlier today promoting the 'Girl on the Third Floor' movie he's starring in and briefly spoke about the talk of a return to WWE: “You mean to tell me you’d watch a show where I talk about wrestling?”
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet listened to the interview and noted that Punk sounded "cagey" and didn't give a "firm response" one way or the other.
Satin also noted on Twitter that the Straight Edge Superstar later added: “If nothing happens please don’t be mad at me!”
Per Satin's Twitter once more, Punk was later asked: “What are you doing on Friday?"
Punk replied to that with: “What’s the date? I’m probably watching hockey.”
