CM Punk Confirmed For AEW Collision Debut

Punk makes his return in Chicago

As most expected, CM Punk will make his return to All Elite Wrestling on Saturday night, June 17, as part of the premiere broadcast of AEW Collision at The United Center in Chicago.

Tony Khan announced Punk's appearance during a brief pre-recorded announcement during Wednesday's Dynamite broadcast.

It wasn't announced what Punk will be doing on the Collision premiere.

The appearance will be Punk's first in AEW since the media scrum following All Out in Chicago last September. After winning the AEW World title from Jon Moxley that night, Punk openly criticized various individuals, including The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. A backstage altercation ensued minutes later involving Punk, the Bucks, Omega, and producer Ace Steel, resulting in all parties being suspended, and Steel later getting fired.

Previously, following a seven-plus year absence, Punk made his return to wrestling in August 2021 at the United Center, on a special live edition of AEW Rampage subtitled "The Last Dance". Over the following year, Punk won the AEW World title twice, and feuded with the likes of Moxley, Eddie Kingston, MJF, and Hangman Page.
