CM Punk smiling on the Raw after WrestleMania 42

WrestleMania 42 weekend ended on a sour note for CM Punk, and that wasn’t just because of his World Heavyweight Championship loss to Roman Reigns in the main event. Video footage emerged from TMZ which showed Punk slapping a phone out of the hand of a fan who was filming an embrace between Bayley and AJ Lee in the lobby of a Las Vegas hotel, who had told the man to stop filming and move away.

It was noted in the aftermath that the fan in question was not looking to pursue a lawsuit against CM Punk, but simply wanted a handshake and an apology from the former World Heavyweight Champion. With Punk seemingly escaping any legal ramifications for the incident, he has also been clear of any troubles from within WWE too. It was revealed by Fightful Select that CM Punk “faced no disciplinary action for the fan incident during WrestleMania week”.

WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas was a hotbed for interactions between wrestlers and fans with WWE’s stars concerned about the lack of security - something wrestlers reportedly want TKO to rectify going forwards.
