CM Punk has no regrets about not working with some people during his time in AEW.

During a recent appearance on the Cheap Heat podcast, the Straight-Edge Superstar was asked by Peter Rosenberg if there was anyone on the AEW roster he would have liked to have wrestled during his time in Tony Khan's promotion, to which he replied:

"No. I feel like I wasted some matches on some people for sure [laughs], but that is what it is. Like, some people understand the business, some people don't. You know? And I think everybody here [in WWE] understands the business".

Punk did not specifically reference anyone by name.

The 46-year-old had an incident-filled two-year run with AEW, which included backstage altercations with The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) and Jack Perry. The latter incident led to him being fired by the company.

He made an improbable return to WWE at last year's Survivor Series and (aside from a triceps injury suffered in the Royal Rumble match) seems to have greatly enjoyed his second spell thus far.

WWE are reportedly very happy with Punk, while the former WWE Champion's dog Larry is doing his part by shifting a lot of merchandise.
