CM Punk Returns On AEW Dynamite

The champion looks to be healthy

AEW World champion CM Punk returned at the end of Wednesday's AEW Dynamite in Minneapolis, where he ultimately confronted interim World champion Jon Moxley.

Moxley had just defeated Chris Jericho in the main event in an interim title match, when he was attacked afterward by Jake Hager and Sammy Guevara. Soon, a full-scale brawl broke out between other Jericho Appreciation Society members, as well as the Blackpool Combat Club, Eddie Kingston, and Ortiz.

While the fight was ongoing, "Cult of Personality" hit, and Punk hit the ring. He took out various Society members, before clearing Jericho from the ring.

Moxley and Punk then came face to face. After a tense staredown, Moxley flipped Punk off and left the ring.

Punk played to the crowd after Moxley left, and made a point to hop on his previously-injured foot to show that it was healthy.

This marks Punk's first AEW appearance since the June 3 Rampage, when he announced he would need to have foot surgery that would sideline him for the foreseeable future. Punk had just won the AEW World title from Adam Page at Double or Nothing on May 29.

Moxley became the interim champion at Forbidden Door on June 26, after defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi.
