CM Punk Reveals Who He Wants To Face In AEW Following World Title Win

Plenty of opponents for CM Punk after his AEW World Title win

Nine years on from WWE Royal Rumble 2013, CM Punk is a world champion in professional wrestling once again and the 43-year-old defeated Hangman Page at Sunday's Double Or Nothing pay-per-view to capture the AEW World Championship.

Who Punk will defend the gold against is the next question on the agenda and The Second City Saviour named the likes of Jon Moxley, Jungle Boy, Ricky Starks, and Bryan Danielson during the post-Double Or Nothing media scrum as opponents he would like to face now that he is world champion.

AEW's joint pay-per-view with New Japan Pro-Wrestling - Forbidden Door - is also less than one month away and the new AEW World Champion mentioned Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Will Ospreay as wrestlers he would like to take on in his hometown on June 26. Punk did not mention NJPW's KENTA, though, despite the inventor of the GTS' wishes for a match.

Punk also commented on his AEW World Title win during the media scrum, which you can read about here.
