CM Punk mentioned on AEW Dynamite
Since the events of the backstage fight at All Out there have been few mentions of CM Punk, with the former AEW World Champion persona non grata since ‘brawl out’.
Punk was briefly shown during a video package of former ROH Champions on a recent Dynamite, and on the November 9 edition Punk was explicitly referenced during a promo by MJF, with MJF saying “on my big return the spotlight was on a press conference,” referring to Punk’s post-show media scrum tirade against Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and AEW EVPs.
Whilst this means nothing in regards to either a Punk return or a Punk exit from AEW, it does further suggest that the investigation into the All Out locker-room fight between Punk, Ace Steel, and The Elite is definitely over.
MJF of course returned to AEW himself at All Out, ‘winning’ the Casino Ladder Match in the opener before unmasking and confronting Punk at the end of Punk’s main event AEW World Championship win over Jon Moxley.
