CM Punk Seemingly Takes New Shot At Hangman Page

Beef runs forever in the case of CM Punk and Hangman Page, with Punk appearing to take a new shot at his former AEW co-worker.

Page recently took to social media to take a swipe at Logan Paul after the controversial former WWE US Champion claimed he was ‘retired’ from professional wrestling, with Page stating “I hope the next person they give half my moveset to is at least kinda cool,” with Paul having utilised some of Page’s signature spots during his run in WWE.

Punk was speaking with Pete Rosenburg prior to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event when Rosenburg used the word ‘moveset’ in a sentence, to which Punk retorted:

“Don’t say moveset. It’s nerdy, it’s garbage. It’s garbage internet wrestling talk. If you say that, you’re an idiot. Especially if you’re a wrestler and you say moveset. That 100% tells me that you don’t know what the hell you’re doing,” said Punk.

However, whilst it could be a shot at Page, Punk has previously spoken of his distatste for the term, having tweeted opposition at the phrase in April 2021.

Page and Punk clashed in AEW whilst Page was AEW World Champion, with Page’s now infamous ‘worker’s rights’ promo in 2022 kicking off a chain of events that saw Punk suspended from the company after ‘Brawl Out’, then fired after clashing with Jack Perry at All In 2023.
