CM Punk Set For Tonight's Collision, Two More Matches Announced

CM Punk will be on AEW Collision tonight

As has been the case from week one of AEW Collision, it has been announced that CM Punk will be in the house for a promo segment, with it being revealed on Rampage that “we will hear” from the Second City Saviour. Punk has suffered back-to-back losses for the first time in his AEW career over the last two weeks, with Ricky Starks being the man to pick up the victories.

On last night’s edition of Friday Night Rampage, AEW further announced two more matches for tonight’s Collison show. ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe will go one-on-one with Gravity, in what may be a teaser for a future ROH World TV Title match due to Gravity competing in the tournament to determine the new number one contender over on ROH. This will be Joe’s first Collision appearance since attacking CM Punk after their Owen Hart Cup semi-final match. Gravity is on the back of a loss to PAC on Wednesday’s Dynamite.

Elsewhere, the women’s division will be represented as Kiera Hogan takes on Mercedes Martinez, in what will be the Collision debut for both women. This will mark Hogan’s first televised AEW appearance since April. Though Martinez competed on Rampage last month, this will still only be her second AEW match of the entire year.

The full and updated Collision card is as follows;

  • We will hear from CM Punk
  • FTR (c) vs. MJF & Adam Cole - AEW World Tag Team Championships
  • Andrade El Idolo vs. Buddy Matthews - Ladder Match for Andrade’s mask
  • Bullet Club Gold (Juice Robinson & The Gunns) vs. El Hijo del Vikingo, Action Andretti, & Darius Martin
  • Kiera Hogan vs. Mercedes Martinez
  • Samoa Joe vs. Gravity
