CM Punk Wants AEW To Sign Brody King
Who could follow Jay Lethal to AEW?
We’ve already seen the first Ring of Honor talent sign with another promotion, as Jay Lethal joined AEW at Full Gear on Saturday night. But with ROH going into hiatus after Final Battle in December, we can certainly expect to see more ROH stars joining other brands.
In the post-Full Gear media scrum, former ROH World Champion CM Punk was asked his thoughts about ROH’s misfortune, and what other ROH talents he’d like to see join AEW, and Punk said only one name: Brody King.
"I mean, I think it sucks that the place is going to go out of business and people are going to lose their jobs," said Punk. "I'd like to see Brody King here. Man, there's so much talent there. There's so much talent here. I'm sure you're going to see - I didn't even know Lethal was here until it happened. I'm sure you're going to see different people. It's an exciting time."
King’s name has been the subject of chatter amongst wrestling fans since the news of ROH’s future broke, with many speculating King to join tag partner Malakai Black in the latter’s proposed ‘House of Black’. For now though, we’ll just have to wait and see.
