CM Punk Wins In WWE Return Match

CM Punk scored a win in his return match with WWE

CM Punk had his first WWE match in nearly a decade last night when WWE took over Madison Square Garden for a holiday season live event. Taking on the Judgment Day’s most hated member in Dominik Mysterio, the crowd were firmly behind the “Best in the World” as he wrestled for the first time since August when he competed against Samoa Joe at AEW All In London.

Fans offered him chants of “you still got it” as he ran the ropes and pulled out his greatest hits that WWE fans haven’t seen for a long time - not since the 2014 Royal Rumble PPV event, which was Punk’s last WWE match before last night. After around 13 minutes, Punk hit the GTS and scored his first victory in a WWE bout since defeating The Shield in a 3-on-1 handicap match in a SmackDown dark match just prior to the 2014 Rumble event.

Punk will be taking on Dominik Mysterio once again at a house on December 30 at the Kia Forum in LA.
