Cody Rhodes Asked John Cena For A Match During WWE Raw Interaction

During his return to Monday Night Raw on March 7, John Cena had an interaction with Cody Rhodes on the entrance ramp, during which the two talents had a brief chat before Cena raised The American Nightmare's arm. 

Speaking with Stadium Astro, Rhodes revealed what he and Cena discussed during their brief interaction. 

"What he said to me on Raw was -- I was telling him if he ever does another match, I would like [to work with him], and I think you could hear him pretty well. He says, 'I can't promise that.' I also didn't want to make it about myself at that moment, so I just endlessly thanked him, and then he was at the Nightmare Factory a week later talking to our students," Rhodes stated.

Cena is scheduled to challenge Austin Theory for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 39, while Cody Rhodes will take on Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. Cena noted following his return that making his entrance on March 7 was the first time he realised he was in the twilight of his WWE career.
