Cody Rhodes Makes "EVP" Joke At Survivor Series Press Conference

Cody Rhodes closed out the Survivor Series 2023 post-show press conference last night, and like the cheeky chap often does, he had a bit of fun. 

Rhodes led the team of himself, Randy Orton, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Seth Rollins to victory inside of WarGames against The Judgment Day faction, and at the press conference he shared a lot of emotions when it comes to the ill-health of his father-in-law, and also the connection he has to Randy Orton and how important he has been to his career. 

To keep things light though, Rhodes arrived at the press conference with glasses on and a piece of paper with pre-written lines, perhaps partly in reference to the absolute chaos of his last press conference with Jey Uso. Rhodes, after relaying some generic company lines, laid his paper down and had a good laugh, stating it was the “EVP in me”, with a mischievous laugh afterwards. Rhodes was of course an EVP in AEW, something which cropped up in the press conference when asked about CM Punk’s WWE return. Rhodes made sure to note that he “and others” helped create AEW, and that they were “his boys”.
