Over the last five years, there has been very little crossover when it comes to AEW and WWE, with the only examples including Billy Gunn being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame alongside D-Generation X and the likes of Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson, and Paul Wight sending in messages for a John Cena tribute on an episode of Monday Night RAW, but there has been a very little crossover being the two sides for some time. However, reigning Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is hoping to use some sway to induct one of AEW’s tenured names into the Hall Of Fame.

Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Cody Rhodes has pushed for WWE to induct his brother, Dustin Rhodes, into the Hall Of Fame.

Rhodes also spoke on this during an interview with The Schmo, explaining why he believes his brother to be a worthy inductee:

“He wanted to be his own thing and what he did and the lengths he went to to do it, I was very proud of Dustin throughout that whole run. Goldust is an underrated part of the Attitude Era. Certainly somebody I think worthy of the Hall of Fame.”

Dustin is currently reigning as both ROH Tag & Trios Champion, though it was revealed this week that he was working without a contract at the present time, as his deal reportedly expired either at the end of September or start of October. Around that time it was noted that AEW expected him to stick with the promotion, but both sides are waiting to agree to a new deal.
