Cody Rhodes appeared on the June 27 edition of Raw to discuss this year’s mens Money in the Bank, and gave an update on his physical condition following recent surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle.

Appearing via video, ‘The American Nightmare’ commented on MITB, saying he wasn’t rooting for anyone in particular, but mentioned that if Seth Rollins were to prevail then he would be the first to congratulate him.

Speaking of Rollins, Rhodes also mentioned that he will be out of action for nine months after Rollins attacked him with a sledgehammer, indicating that a WWE return around February/March is likely, just in time for WWE WrestleMania 39 in April 2023.

Rhodes memorably tore his pec from the bone heading into Hell in a Cell in early June, defeating Seth Rollins in the structure despite his injury. Since then WWE wrote Rhodes off TV so he could undergo surgery and heal up.

Rhodes recently said that the nine month return window was ‘their plan’, indicating that if Rhodes can return earlier than expected then he will try his best to do so.
