Coming out of what was perhaps the best TakeOver event ever last Friday, the latest set of NXT TV tapings were held at Full Sail University last night.

Thanks to our man Brian Druckenmiller, here's what went down:

The story of the Night: Is Undisputed Era [Rodrick] Strong as they once were?

Reina Gonzalez defeats Lacey Lane

North American Championship Match:

Velveteen Dream (c) defeats Buddy Murphy

Video footage shown of Undisputed Era from Takeover: New York after Adam Cole's defeat to Johnny Gargano. Cole shown blaming Roddy for defeat before realising a hidden camera is recording him.

Raul Mendoza defeats Riddick Moss

Johnny Gargano promo: Discusses his NXT journey, how we went from being turned down at first to champion, saying: “This is what happens when you don’t take no for an answer.”

Undisputed Era (minus Strong) come out, and Cole declares himself the “uncrowned NXT Champion,” because had this been a normal match, he would have won.

A verbal exchange takes place before Cole approaches the ring to fight. Johnny gears up, but Strong attacks him from behind and all four UE members do a number on poor ol’ Johnny Should-Have-Known-This-Would-Happen.

Dominik Dijakovic defeats Aaron Mackie in a match that lasts roughly four seconds. Dijakovic says he’s feasting his eyes on Velveteen’s North American title.

NXT Women’s Championship Match

(If Kairi Sane loses, she can no longer challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship)

: Shayna Bazler defeats Kairi Sane via DQ.

Kairi hurts her shoulder after missing a dive and crashing into the guardrail. Bazler sets Kairi up for that arm-stomp spot, but Io Shirai pushes Shayna to save her friend…bell rings. The Horsewomen take out Io, and Bazler does the arm-stomp spot to Kairi anyways.

Humberto Carrillo defeats Jaxson Ryker via DQ. Ryker throws Carrillo into the crowd, and the referee calls for the bell. Lorcan and Burch come out with padded chairs swinging.

Candace LaRae and Kacy Catanzaro defeat Vanessa Borne and Aliyah

War Raiders defeat Street Profits.

Johnny Gargano defeats Rodrick Strong

Adam Cole comes out to help followed by O’Reilly and Fish. Matt Riddle takes out O’Reilly and Fish while Cole accidentally kicks Strong, leading to Gargano’s win. Some arguing between the UE after the match, and Strong leaves without them.

(reshot match) Humberto Carrillo defeats Jaxson Ryker via DQ…again.

Exact same match, exactly the same run-in from Lorcan/Burch, but this time they have non-padded chairs… perhaps the reason why they did a reshoot for the entire match...

Dominik Dijakovic defeats Mansoor

Velveteen’s music hits after the match, and he’s brought out on his couch. He rewrote the lyrics to the Star Spangled Banner, which we all sang. He acknowledged that Dijakovic wants the belt, but told him “Dream Over” and left.

Forgotten Sons defeat Lorcan, Burch, and Humberto Carrillo

KUSHIDA defeats Kassius Ohno

KUSHIDA's music and entrance was fantastic - still rocking his “Back to the Future” gear.

Bianca Belair defeats Mia Yim

Main Event: Matt Riddle defeats Adam Cole

Strong came out and tried to help, distracted Riddle for a second and ate a Superkick. Riddle reversed Cole’s pin into the Bro-mission. After the match, Cole and Strong shove each other.
