Current WWE Plans For World Title Matches At WrestleMania 42 Revealed

The main event of WWE Survivor Series saw Bron Breakker, Brock Lesnar, Logan Paul, Bronson Reed, and Drew McIntyre face off against Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and The Usos inside WarGames, with The Vision picking up the win after a masked man climbed the cage and hit CM Punk with a stomp. Bron Breakker then followed up with a spear to Punk for the pinfall victory.

WWE were expected to heavily tease the world title matches at WrestleMania 42 in the main event of Survivor Series, and that was indeed the case. Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the Undisputed WWE Championship match at WrestleMania is currently planned to be Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns, while CM Punk vs. Bron Breakker is scheduled to be the World Heavyweight Title match at WrestleMania.

"This whole thing when we come out of this match, the idea was we're supposed to know WrestleMania. Which is Cody and Roman, and Punk and Bron Breakker are the championship matches," Meltzer said.

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes had a staredown following the main event of Survivor Series, with Reigns telling Cody that WarGames was the last time they would team together. The two talents previously main evented WrestleMania 39 and WrestleMania 40 together, and they have one win apiece.
