Damian Priest Declares For WWE Royal Rumble

Damian Priest booked for WWE Royal Rumble

Damian Priest will look to earn a guaranteed match in the main event of WrestleMania despite already holding the Money in the Bank briefcase.

It was revealed during Monday Night Raw in a graphic that Damian Priest would be in the men's Royal Rumble. WWE's first pay-per-view of the year will take place at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida on Saturday, January 27.

Priest main evented Raw against Drew McIntyre, ultimately losing the match following a distraction from R-Truth, who only wished to give Priest his cut of the merchandise money.

Joining Priest in the men's Royal Rumble match is CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, and Gunther. The favourite to win the match is currently CM Punk, although The Rock isn't far behind in the bookies' odds due to the expectation he will challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the coming months.

Only four talents have declared for the women's Royal Rumble. They are Bayley, Nia Jax, Becky Lynch, and Bianca Belair. Also announced for the Royal Rumble is a Four-Way between Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, LA Knight, and Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. Logan Paul will also put the United States Championship on the line against Kevin Owens.
