Daniel Garcia Not Expected To Leave AEW Amid Uncertainty Over Contract Status

Daniel Garcia expected to stick with AEW during contract status uncertainty

Daniel Garcia’s future remains up in the air, with the All Elite Wrestling star’s contract believed to be set to expire in Autumn 2024.

Despite uncertainty about Garcia’s future, a report from Fightful Select suggests that those within AEW expect Garcia to remain with the company ‘for quite some time’, with a top name within the company believing ‘Red Death’ may have already signed a new deal.

Garcia has been with AEW since 2021, and Fightful’s report states that those close to the former ROH Pure Champion said that ‘a lot of his future would likely come into focus soon’ in regards to his contract situation.

WWE were said to have been extremely interested in Garcia following a tryout in 2021, but ultimately Garcia ended up becoming ‘All Elite’ instead. In the promotion he has been aligned with Chris Jericho as part of the Jericho Appreciation Society, and has also had on-screen alliances with the likes of FTR, and Matt Menard, amongst others.

Outside of AEW, Garcia is the reigning PWG World Champion, and has had major singles matches on AEW TV in 2024 against the likes of Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, and Will Ospreay.
