Darby Allin Under Consideration To Win AEW World Title

Could Darby Allin be AEW World Champion in 2024?

A surprising AEW World Title change could be on the horizon.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there has been serious talk within All Elite Wrestling of Darby Allin receiving a run as AEW World Champion, although when Darby would hold the gold belt is unclear.

Allin is scheduled to challenge Jack Perry for the TNT Championship at All In in a Coffin Match but any AEW World Title win for Darby isn't dependent on what will happen inside Wembley Stadium on Sunday, August 25.

Darby Allin is scheduled to challenge for the AEW World Championship at Dynamite Grand Slam on September 25 inside Arthur Ashe Stadium. The two-time TNT Champion and former AEW World Tag Team Champion earned the world title shot by winning the Royal Rampage Battle Royal earlier this year.

Who will be AEW World Champion at Dynamite Grand Slam is unknown. Bryan Danielson will put his career on the line when he challenges Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship in the main event of All In but AEW will have the All Out pay-per-view on September 7 before Grand Slam.
